Clearly! I mean if gochujang works in cookies then why not Barbecue sauce? I feel like the world of condiments is still underexplored when it comes to desserts! I keep on thinking Teriyaki sauce would probably be a great starting point for caramel sauce or chocolate fudge sauce with a salty edge.
And you know how delicious Japanese Nasu Dengaku is, you know those Miso broiled aubergines? I keep on thinking how delicious it would be to swap in bananas and then do a sort of roasted banana split? Sweet and gooey and also a bit salty and funky from the Miso, plus hot and cold btw the roasted bananas and say cold vanilla ice cream!
